We appreciate what MIMS is doing and we wish the organization greater success in the future. The joy of seeing MIMS products achieve lofty heights should be pleasing and we pray that Allah rewards the efforts. The management should not relent and they should keep sowing in the young ones. May Allah continue to reward them,” he concluded

AbdulRahman Mayowa AbdulAzeez:
UNILAG First Class Statistics Graduate
One thing about MIMS is that her products are always known for academic excellence which followed us to the University. That’s the mantra MIMS has fielded over the years. The first
value is discipline. Being in MIMS, you are always disciplined. I had a lot of disciplined teachers from cradle till graduation, coupled with consistency and that Islamic faith which will drive you to know more about Islam. It will also give you leverage to project in your next sojourn.
Right from MIMS, I had loved Mathematics and it was very evident in my grades. That was one of the inspirations that pushed me to study Mathematics in school. When I gained admission to University of Lagos, I had to move to statistics; a data branch of Mathematics. I love interacting with data. It wasn’t an easy journey because it was tough due to ASUU strike and COVID break.
During my final year, I was appointed as the Amir of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), University of Lagos. That was another thing that pushed me. When I started, I wasn’t a First Class student, but being the Amir, I ensured that I made my leadership something that is going to be an icon for students coming after me. Although, I had predecessors who had graduated as First Class students. I had to push myself beyond the limit, I made sure I had 25.0 at the end of each semester and that was what propelled my CGPA to being a First Class student. At the end of the day, I emerged as the 2nd Best Graduating Student in my Department. MIMS Educational Services wants you to do more. We don’t settle for mediocrity. We try to ensure that we are amongst the best. The resent students should ensure that the flag of MIMS is still flying and continue on the value MIMS is known for. No matter where they go, they will always be recognized as products of this great institution. I am sure MIMS will keep growing towards global recognition.
Mustapha Sherrifdeen: A Graduate of Cell Biology and Genetics, First and Second Degrees
MIMS has given us a lot. MIMS instilled the spirit of competition in me right from the beginning. When I see someone doing better, I challenge myself and up my game. It has worked for me all through my life. I graduated as the most outstanding student in the college, distinction from the University of Lagos. I have my Masters and I am hoping to further my studies by Allah’s will. Going through MIMS shaped my ability to achieve the best. It also set the pace for my Islamic knowledge, moral values and I am always grateful to Allah that I passed through MIMS. Yes, it is always pleasant to reflect upon it.
While we were in MIMS, we do feel that they overburden us. We are given assignment of
five years to submit next week Monday. We felt it was unrealistic. However, the truth is, engaging faithfully in those exercises have improved my capacity to work under tension. When I was in higher institution and we had a lot of handout to over, I was able to do it within the given time because I have been prepared for it. My endurance level has increased. The current students should endure and be tolerant. Yes, it might be hard, you are asked to submit five years of past questions within two days. Alihamdulilahi, we did it and we are able to translate it into something honourable. At the end of the day, if you allow MIMS to pass through you, you will always relish the experience.
MIMS Prospects
While appreciating staff and parents for their relentless support over the years, the Board Chairman assured all and sundry that the management will continue using all the resources at her disposal to produce more champions that will be able to conquer more grounds and win more academic laurels across the globe.
“I implore all staff to see the 30th anniversary as a great opportunity to re-launch ourselves. If we are 30, that shows we are a big and uncommon educational institution in Nigeria. If we are able to capitalize on our achievement till date, automatically, we should be able to make history in the management of children, schools, and even parents. We have huge opportunity to break lots of grounds in the educational setting. I am using this opportunity
to call my staff. Let us come onboard, brainstorm in order to ensure that we
utilize the opportunity to do greater things in the establishment.
An Appeal to Parents
He further advised parents to manage their children properly in the light of moral decadence which has permeated the society.
“The parents just have to know that the higher the level of immorality, the higher the academic bankruptcy. The lower the level of immorality, the higher the level of the academic achievements children will be able to attain. Very importantly, the higher the level of spirituality, the lower the level of immorality. I am calling on all parents to embrace high level of spirituality. They should stop running away from the teachings of the Islamic religion. The more you run away from the teachings of your religion, the more you imbibe immorality which will lead to the collapse of morals and all the expenses that parents are putting in educational settings will surely not give them the result. At the end of the day, they will blame themselves. I have lots of them that are blaming themselves today courtesy of high level of immorality which they imbibe in their children themselves. I am calling all parents to sit up over the Islamic teachings we put in place and the level of morals we are calling them to.” He stated
Celebration Galore
The 2025 MIMS Prize Giving Day (PGD) shall serve as the closing ceremony for the 30th Anniversary. Before then, series of programmes will be held in the school and virtual programme by the Alumni will mark the climax of the events.
